Oberon

Oberon with a kubrow.
Baaaahd attitude.

Overview: Half paladin, half druid, all goat – this support frame is capable of dishing out damage as well. Oberon components can drop from the caches found in Empyrion (Railjack) missions, and his blueprint can be bought from the market.

Prime: Oberon prime is currently vaulted, meaning that you’ll need to ask friends and clanmates for relics, try the trading channel or simply wait for an unvaulting event to acquire the prime variant. Oberon prime gains a bonus to armour and energy capacity.

Special: Instantly revive your Kavat or Kubrow once per mission, and allied beast companions gain 25% armour, health and shield links.

Pros: Good durability, crowd control and damage, can heal and grant bonus armour to allies, a good choice for the open-world bosses.

Cons: Can be very energy hungry, tends to do best when able to fortify a position.

Powers: Smite (1) a hapless foe, damaging them and causing them to emit radioactive orbs that seek out nearby enemies dealing damage based on the initial target’s health. Adding in the Smite Infusion augment allows you to to hold the cast button to grant yourself and nearby allies bonus radiation damage.

Conjure Hallowed Ground (2) to protect allies from status effects and deal radiation damage to foes caught in the cone. The Hallowed Eruption augment increases the duration of the zone and allows you to detonate it by recasting, dealing damage based on the remaining duration in one burst. You can cover a huge area if you equip some range mods as they increase both the length and width of the cone, eventually reaching a full circle rather than a wedge. This can keep enemies confused and taking constant damage well before they can reach an objective.

Boost allies with Renewal (3) a heal over time effect that drains your energy to replenish allied health. If you walk on Hallowed Ground (2) it will also apply an armour buff that lasts until Renewal (3) ends. You could also try Phoenix Renewal, an augment that automatically revives allies that go down with Renewal (3) active at the cost of a 90 second lock-out. This ability can drain your energy pretty quickly, and you can’t benefit from Energy Siphon while it’s active – use Rage or Hunter’s Adrenaline to refuel as you take damage.

Reckoning (4) body-slams enemies in a wide area, dealing damage, blinding and if on Hallowed Ground (2) strips armour from affected enemies. It also provides a chance for health orbs to drop from slain enemies. You can use the Hallowed Reckoning augment to generate patches of Hallowed Ground (2) at the feet of the victims of this power.

Opinion: Oberon is a great jack-of-all-trades with one of the widest toolsets in Warframe, providing healing, armour, crowd control, damage and armour removal whilst still being pretty durable himself. The biggest downside is how much energy that he can chew through – I would recommend taking Rage or Hunter Adrenaline to provide energy as you take damage. Oberon has something to offer every mission type except spy, and is a good pick for Eidolon hunting since he can heal the lures and provide bonus damage to players.
