Nezha

Nezha casting Divine Spears.
Fiery temper…

Overview: Quick and versatile, this support orientated frame can still deal a lot of damage, while able to withstand a fair amount himself – in many ways, he feels like a wizardly version of Rhino. Blueprints can be researched and bought in your clan laboratory.

Prime: Nezha prime is currently available from relics dropped in missions or via Syndicate relic reward packs. The prime version comes with improved armour and sprint speed.

Special: Reduced friction allows Nezha to skid around at high speeds – I personally don’t like this, but a lot of people I’ve talked to swear by it, so… anyway, if you don’t like the sliding, Nezha actually has an augment available for the Exilus slot called Controlled Slide, this disables the passive and grants 15% extra power strength instead.

Pros: Quick, able to create ablative health, can support the squad with health orbs, surprisingly good crowd control, some great augment choices.

Cons: Innate reduced friction can be very annoying, raw defensive stats are not great, most powers need to be used alongside another for maximum effect, leading to high energy costs.

Powers: Leave a trail of flames with Firewalker (1) setting enemies on fire and cauterising status effects on allies. The Pyroclastic Flow augment allows you to deal 150% of the total damage caused by Firewalker (1) in a line of flame when reactivating.

Bounce your Blazing Chakram (2) among multiple foes to mark them, causing double damage from all sources whilst dropping energy and health orbs on death – as well as an initial burst of fire damage, or teleport to the current Chakram location by recasting, emitting a blast of flame if you have Firewalker (1) active. Holding down the ability key will wind up a powerful throw that travels in a line while adding punching through enemies. Try the Reaping Chakram augment to multiply your damage for every enemy struck!

Shield yourself (and allies with the Safeguard augment) from harm with Warding Halo (3) reducing incoming damage and slashing nearby enemies before detonating in a wave of flame on expiration. Anyone under the effect of this power will also be immune to status effects.

If all else fails, impale foes on Divine Spears (4) a radial crowd control/damage ability that slams enemies into the ground on expiration or reactivation. It’s also synergistic with Blazing Chakram (2) as foes hit will generate secondary bouncing projectiles.

Opinion: I really didn’t like the reduced friction, but if we ignore that, the frame itself is really, very good – able to protect itself with ablative health, crowd control, healing, energy generation, damage and a teleport, Nezha is a great choice if you like his move-set. Expect him to perform well in any mission type, since he come with damage, crowd-control and durability.
