Banshee

Overview: A sound themed frame that can apply devastating debuffs but can’t take much retaliation. Blueprints can be researched in the Tenno lab of your clan dojo. Prime: Banshee prime is currently vaulted, meaning that you’ll need to ask clanmates and friends, consult the trading channel or wait for an unvaulting event if you want this variant. Special: All weapons brought by Banshee or her companion are treated as silent. Not a huge advantage, but useful for stealth missions with long range weaponry. Pros: Absurdly high damage multipliers through Sonar (2) stacking, good crowd control options and the ability to … Continue reading Banshee

Frost

Overview: One of (if not the) best defence frames in the game, Frost applies crowd control, damage, support and a spherical shield of ice in combat. He’s not fast on his feet, but who needs to dodge when the enemy is frozen solid? You can pick up Frost in the dual boss fight on Ceres. Prime: Frost prime is currently vaulted, meaning that you’ll need to ask friends and clanmates if they have relics, consult the trade channel or wait for an unvaulting event. Special: Melee attackers have a 10% chance to be frozen. A very poor passive that might … Continue reading Frost

Mirage

Overview: The killing joke, Mirage conjures illusions and bombs to cause havoc wherever she appears. Capable of huge damage and mass crowd control, she can be acquired from the Hidden Messages quest available in your codex. Prime: Mirage prime is currently vaulted, meaning you’ll need to bug friends and clan members for relics, dip your toes into the trade channel or wait for an unvaulting event if you want to obtain her. Special: Mirage performs manoeuvres 50% faster and slides for 85% longer. It doesn’t sound that great, but it does quite a bit for you parkour mobility. Pros: A … Continue reading Mirage

Excalibur

Overview: Excalibur and Excalibur Umbra are the sword-masters of Warframe, dashing across the battlefield, blinding foes with a flourished blade and wielding a summoned weapon of energy. Excalibur is both simple and flexible, and can be acquired from Lech Kril on Mars, or chosen as your starting frame. Excalibur Umbra is rewarded during “The Sacrifice” quest. Prime: While Excalibur prime does exist, it was provided as a reward to those who joined the founders program nearly a decade ago – and since that was effectively a contract, it cannot be added to the game. On the plus side, all players … Continue reading Excalibur

Xaku

Overview: A void twisted horror grown from warframes that could have been but never were, this vengeful ghost brings void infused destruction to the Origin System. Parts can be found as bounty mission rewards on the Cambion Drift (Deimos) and the main blueprint can be acquired from the Heart Of Deimos quest. Prime: Xaku prime has not been released as yet, and will not be for a considerable length of time. Special: Gain an innate 25% chance to dodge incoming incoming fire, and take 25% less area effect damage as you phase in and out of reality. Pros: High energy … Continue reading Xaku

Sevagoth

Overview: A shadow of the old war, with a blueprint recovered from the lost ship Tempestarii (Call of the Tempestarii quest) and components from the Void Storms ravaging Neptune, Pluto and Veil Proxima. Sevagoth nurtures a dark reflection inside his shell, one that thinks mere death shouldn’t sate hunger. Special: Sevagoth has two passive abilities, both pertaining to his Exalted Shadow (4) ability. Death Well: Sevagoth fills a counter when killing or draining enemies affected by his powers. This counter is used to fuel his Exalted Shadow (4) in place of energy. Tombstone: When reduced to 0 health, Sevagoth will … Continue reading Sevagoth
